There are additional theories about the causes of the increase in the number of people affected by asthma and respiratory conditions.

Chiropractic adjustments to improve the symptoms of asthma.

Chiropractic adjustments improve the symptoms of asthma.

A few studies have explored the connection between chiropractic adjustments and the improvement of asthma symptoms.

Both adults and children reported a decrease in the severity of their asthma following chiropractic treatment, both in the frequency and intensity of attacks, as well as in their overall quality of breathing.

The respiratory system can be improved through spinal adjustments and the work on the nervous system through various ways. Chiropractic adjustments improve the respiratory function by restoring normal function of the nerves to the respiratory muscles. This results in symptomatic improvement of asthma, bronchitis, and allergies.

Researchers have also shown that chiropractic adjustments improve the respiratory function and through increased mobility of the rib cage.

Results are sometimes impressive: a Danish study of 115 families with children under the age of 7 suffering from asthma showed that 93% of the children receiving chiropractic care had improved breathing.
